- The NDLSF's mission is:
- To extend the educational and networking activities in disaster medicine outside of the membership institutions
- To promote the importance of specialized training for first responders, emergency room personnel, clinicians, and all healthcare providers
- To encourage educational institutions and professional societies to provide curricular materials for broad-based, well-supervised training
- To assist communities, states, and federal agencies by providing educational experiences and materials of the highest caliber and most advanced technology
- To promote and facilitate the establishment and accreditation of affiliated training centers
The NDLSF is a non-profit, tax exempt, 501(c)3 organization. It was established in 2004 and has membership comprised of the founding academic institutions and the American Medical Association (AMA). |
